Penang Wesak Celebration Day 2024, which is initiated by Penang State Government, organised by Malaysian Buddhist Association(MBA), co-organised by MBA Penang Branch, Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia (TBCM), Vajrayana Buddhist Council of Malaysia(VBCM) and various temples and Buddhist organisations in Penang will officially launch on 18th of May (Saturday), 7 pm at Wisma Malaysian Buddhist Association. The celebration includes float launching ceremony, bathing of Buddha Statue and the Buddhist Preservation of Life & Environmental Protection Exhibition. The bathing of Buddha Statue and exhibition will open for the public from 18-22 May (please refer to the poster for details of the opening hours).
